Who we are
AdviserStudio provides white-label educational videos to UK financial advice firms. This notice explains what personal data we handle and how. For anything you share with us directly, such as a demo or contact request, we are the data controller. You can reach us about data at privacy@adviserstudio.co.uk.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us. If you use the demo or contact form, we store the name, firm, website and email you enter. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not build profiles of the people who browse this site.
Video analytics are cookieless and anonymous
The embedded player sets no cookies and stores no personal data about viewers. It reports only aggregate counts: which video was played, how far it was watched, on which day, for the firm. No IP addresses, device identifiers or personal data are stored. Because nothing personal is collected, no consent banner is required on your site.
Your clients' data
We never receive or process your clients' personal data. The videos are one-way content; there is no form, tracking pixel or account inside the player, on your site or in the shared client portal.
How and why we use your data
We use the details from a demo or contact request only to prepare your sample, answer you, and, if you subscribe, to set up and support your account and send service and billing messages. Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running the service. We do not use your data for automated decision-making.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. We use a small number of processors to run the service: a video hosting and delivery provider (Bunny) to serve the players, a payment provider (Stripe) to take subscription payments, and an email provider to send and receive messages. Each only handles what is needed for its part and under a contract that protects your data.
How long we keep it
We keep demo and contact details only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and, if you become a customer, for as long as you have an account plus the period we are required to keep records for tax and legal reasons. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.
Where your data is held
Our providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on providers that offer protections recognised under UK data protection law, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or provide it in a portable form. To exercise any of these, email privacy@adviserstudio.co.uk and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Cookies
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and the video embeds set no cookies at all. We may use a strictly necessary cookie only where one is needed for the site or your account to function.

We may update this notice from time to time. The date below shows when it last changed.
