Terms of service
Last updated 8 July 2026.
1. These terms
These terms govern your use of AdviserStudio ("we", "us", "our") and the video embed service we provide. By subscribing to or using the service you agree to them. They form a contract between us and the firm named on the subscription. If you are entering into them on behalf of a firm, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
2. What we provide
AdviserStudio provides a library of educational video content on personal finance topics, rendered in the subscribing firm's brand and delivered by an embed hosted by us. The content is general information only. It is not financial advice, it is not a personal recommendation, and it is not approved by the Financial Conduct Authority. It does not name or recommend specific products, providers or investments.
3. Licence
While your subscription is active, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to display the branded videos on the firm's own website and shared client portal via our embed. The licence lasts only for the duration of the subscription. When the subscription ends, the embeds stop serving and the licence ends. You do not download, host, edit or redistribute the underlying video files, and you do not present the content as your own original production for resale.
4. Your responsibility for content
You remain responsible for everything published on your website and communications, including these videos, and for deciding whether each video is suitable and compliant for your firm and your clients. You choose which videos to publish and can withdraw any of them at any time. Publishing a video on your site is your confirmation that you have reviewed and approved it. We keep the content accurate and current to the best of our ability, but you should not rely on it as a substitute for your own compliance review.
5. Acceptable use
You will not misrepresent the videos as personal financial advice or as FCA-approved, will not alter the content or branding except through the options we provide, and will not use the service in any way that is unlawful or that could damage the service or other users. We may suspend embeds that are being used in breach of these terms.
6. Fees, payment and cancellation
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through our payment provider. You may cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the current billing period, after which the embeds stop serving. There is no minimum term, no setup fee and no charge to cancel. Fees may change on renewal, and we will give you reasonable notice of any change before it takes effect.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may update, add to, or improve the content and the platform, and may change the underlying video hosting provider, without changing your embed code. We may occasionally take the service down for maintenance.
8. Intellectual property
All videos, scripts, designs and the platform itself remain our property or that of our licensors. The branding applied to your videos remains yours. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of our content to you beyond the licence to display it described above.
9. Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business or goodwill, and our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid in that period. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these terms affects your clients' statutory rights or your own regulatory obligations.
10. Termination
Either party may end the subscription at any time as set out above. We may suspend or end your access immediately if you materially breach these terms. On termination the licence ends and the embeds stop serving.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change we will give you reasonable notice. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
